ATTRACTIONS
Magnolia Sunset Point
Magnolia Sunset Point, just 10 km from Netarhat, is not only famous for its breathtaking sunset but also for an eternal love story. It is said that a British officer once lived here, whose beautiful daughter was named Magnolia. Nearby, a local shepherd used to bring his cattle every day near this sunset spot. He played the flute (bansuri) so melodiously that it touched Magnolia’s heart. Day after day, she came to listen to his sweet tunes, and gradually she fell in love with him.
কিন্তু এই প্রেম কাহিনী সুখে শেষ হয়নি। When her father came to know, he ordered the shepherd to be killed. On hearing this tragic news, Magnolia, broken by grief, rode her horse and jumped into the deep valley, sacrificing her life for love.
Today, statues of Magnolia and the shepherd stand at this spot, reminding every visitor of their eternal প্রেম কাহিনী (love story).”**
